I began this journey sometime during college when I took a class in entrepreneurship.  One of our assignments was to start our own company and my company of choice was a retail store that sold hunting supplies, fishing supplies and golf equipment.  I had two reasons for this, the first being they were all seasonal and together they would create strong sales and the second being I loved all of those things.   Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that I did NOT like retail and that project never got off the ground.

Before I completed my degree in college I accepted a job in the corporate world and began to make a career for myself.  On numerous occasions I would “dabble” into my dream of owning my own company but the timing never seemed right and these side projects would quickly end.  I attempted to solve my entrepreneur itch by taking a business development position with a small company that was looking to grow.  After pouring into that company for three years, I was again looking my future square in the face.

Just over three weeks ago I began Integrated Solutions group.  A company founded on the principal of providing creative solutions through exceptional effort to various companies in need of that “final piece of the puzzle.”  I didn’t begin my own company for control or financial gain but because I had no choice but to act on this desire to do things a little differently.  My goal is not to just start a profitable business but to create a culture that benefits clients, employees, friends and family.  I am just starting down this path and I have a lot to still discover, but I’m glad in the end I chose the road less traveled…
